Complete body overhaul: - brought down to bare metal all around, primed, block sanded, and painted by Jim Colwell of San Diego using the highest grade Sherwin Auto paints inside and out. (Jim painted for Ferrari and BMW racing before opening his own shop in San Diego, CA) - Complete undercarriage coating by Lizard Motorsports, Los Angeles, CA. - Bumpers completely restored and Chromed. - Interior, door jams, and engine compartment all painted while bus was disassembled.
ORIGINAL German aluminum deluxe body molding (very rare) with red insert. - German parts used for new lights and signals Interior - This bus is a Deluxe Model -Walk Thru front seats, with back AND MIDDLE seat included. Middle from 68 and re-worked to match as close as possible to 65. (hard to find with all seats present, particularly the middle bench) - Seats have all been restored with new VW horsehair pads - New seat upholstery (with original TMI VW vinyls) - New VW headliner (pro-installed - CORRECTLY) - New Deluxe model VW panels all the way around - New TMI VW visors - New Coco Mat up front - Zero rust anywhere inside. - Restored ORIGINAL steering wheel with working horn - Original Deluxe Model clock (only in deluxe models and rare)
