This bus has been finished to show condition, including a full bare metal strip down, all rust removed and resprayed in original VW savannah beige body, with a cloud white roof. All bodywork has been completed by El Rancho Kustoms.
We have gone to great lengths to create an original feel while adding modern comforts and driveability. Added features include 2 air conditioning units (1 in the front and 1 in the back), a retro sound Bluetooth capable stereo with amp and sub, front swivel seats and in the back a rock n roll 3 seater with removable head rests and baby car seat anchors.
The bus has been lowered by 4 inches which is a great compromise between looks and drivability, however the front bar is adjustable and can be either lowered or raised to suit personal taste as can the rear torsion bars. The brakes have been completely overhauled including new master and slave cylinders, new brake booster and new pads and drums all round,adding up to plenty of stopping power. A set of genuine Porsche 911 rims and all new rubber complete the look.
We have also completed a full re wire of all electrics including a start relay at the engine, a vehicle immobiliser, H6 lights which automatically cut off when the engine is switched off, and an auxiliary over ride for the stereo and USB charging points in the glove box, including battery level indicator.
All the upholstery work has been meticulously completed by Platinum Trimming on the Gold Coast. The engine and gearbox work completed by Leon’s Garage in Brisbane. The engine is a standard 1976, 2 litre unleaded engine with a 2 litre specific gearbox, both strong and reliable.
All modifications have been blue plated, including adjustable lowering kit for front bar, swivel front seats and the Rock n Roll bed.
This vehicle has been sound deadened throughout, sound proofed and thermal insulated on the roof and sides, adding to driver comfort.
