We are regretfully selling our beloved 'Tangarine' , who will be dearly missed. She is a 1974 pop-top campervan who is fully kitted out with a fridge, micorwave and original rock 'n' roll bed. In the 6 years we've had 'Tangie' we have enjoyed many weekend getaways down south , music festival campouts, coffee trips into town and summer drives to the beach- all thanks to the kombi.
A bit about our VW:
- low milage at only 28,330 kms
- 4 speed manual transmission
- 56 litre fuel capacity ( leaded fuel - we add in lead fuel shots bought at service stations).
- original 1974 VW 4 cylinder engine, which was fully reconditioned in 2012 and has since been serviced regularly.
- Comfortably sits at 110kms and is a joy to drive.
- 5 seat capacity and all seats front and rear are fitted with seatbelts. The two front seats were replaced in 2011.
- Original gas cooker stove has been removed and replaced with a microwave that operates, along with the fridge, when the car is plugged into mains power. No alternator battery was fitted to run fridge/mircoeave off battery power however it is possible to do so.
- New floor coverings and curtains.
- Canvas on pop-top roof is in need of minor repairs however still keeps the rain out when camping.
-In 2014, new headlight globes were installed and now provide good visability and new Supercat tyres were fitted.
- Wipers work well and wiper blades have been replaced recently.
- There is a black alloy bull bar fitted and a custom made matte aluminium front VW emblem.
- Body was completely repainted and de-rusted in 2016 and so there is virtually no rust- and she looks the part.
- There are no damages/dents or scratches to the exterior.
- Recently the entire front electrics and baterry terminals were rewired and a new antenna/ radio installed with a bluetooth/ AUX cable fitting.
- Interior speakers were restored.
- Breaks were serviced recently.
We hope to pass our VW onto someone who will enjoy it as much as we have.
