If you want a kombi that is running smoothly with no money to spend on the engine, this is the girl is for you.
She's just had:
Replacement 2L engine, fitted with an 1800 clutch & fly wheel reset end float.
New fuel line, cleaned plugs
New bay seal for the engine
Oil change, adjusted carbys
Just before she was taken off road, she had the following (so as new):
New ball joints and idler pin kit
New front brake hoses
New rear break shoes, wheel cylinders and brake drums
New Tor. bar rubbers and bars
Happy also had the drivers door resprayed and the bumpers. The roof is still in mint condition after a repsray since before I had her, so at least 7 years. The body is pretty straight and looks good.
The interior is fine as is, unless you want to restore her to mint. I've left her seats in as the kombis with all the seats are getting harder to find.
I also have some VW books on keeping her running well to throw in, although I've always had her serviced by VW specialists, because I don't have to time to do car services!
Happy for any questions or if you want to come and have a look at her! I'm very sad to see her go, but hope to meet some loving new owners! Cheers.
