The Kombi's name is Kala which means "Be Free" in Hawaian. Kala is reliable and good to drive a sound van thats happy to go to a good home.
This Kombi Camper Van has been well loved for the last 20 years by its owner. The motor has had reconditioned cylinder heads in the last 20,000 klms. It is a sunliner conversion pop top and a poly tarp sock liner that is in perfect condition. The inside has a full width bed and a folding couch to make up the difference. in the corner behind the driver is a 3 way fridge and gas cooker on top. The van is wired for 240 volts (1 light) & 12 volts (2 lights + regular interior). Stereo / CD with docking station & remote. There are some small bubbles of rust in the wheel arches but only cosmetic.
I service the van regularly myself replacing the oil and filter every year and the plugs every other year. The original oil bath filter gets cleaned out every 2 years as well. Each year I give the front end a full lube and check the brake linings. The starter motor was replaced last month as this is one of the things that just happens with old cars. The kombi is currently registered and drive-able but i will not be getting a road worthy certificate for it and when sold will be without the plates.
