This is Sunny, a 1975 VW Kombi Microbus with a 2-1 bench seat up front. We’ve been working on this project through the winter months, and she's finally ready to make her debut!
All the hard work has been done - just turn the key and enjoy this sweet ride that is bound to turn heads on every street corner. Lovingly restored by our panel beater with over 30 years in the trade.
For this project we stripped out the interior seats, door cards, flooring, headlining and window rubbers as they were all looking pretty tired after 40 years of adventure. Every surface has been checked, cleaned and carefully repaired. All cavities have been treated with an odourless fish oil to provide a lasting protection on this outstanding paint job.
From the ground up...
5 spoke empi style mags and as new tyres.
All the running gear, steering, brakes and suspension have been checked.

The floor pans have been stripped back to bare metal and then primed and stone guarded.
The rear floor pan has been finished with a timber laminate that matches the door cards.
The seat backs have been finished with a full deluxe trim.
The front floor has been fitted with brand new carpet trims and door step rubbers.
Blue slip compliance is for 9 seat capacity - note the proper seat belt lifters behind the rear seat.
The front seat is made up of a 1 - 2 bench seat that stows a spare wheel underneath.
All seats have been fully re-upholstered to match the door cards.
The glass has been refitted with brand new rubber seals and a Just Kampers slider window.
Windscreen is a new tinted glass with brand new seal.
Headlining was removed - Ceiling framework has been resprayed white and a marine grade carpet applied to all 3 roof sections - this won't rip or tear when your surfboard fin hits it.
The original stereo looks superb set back into the gloss yellow dash - also fitted with an undertray for extra storage and carpet dash protector.
