Here we have Terrance again after his makeover. This is what you could call entry level pricing for a running and registered Kombi camper these days.
Terrance really is quite a solid bus. We recently completed the welding work to the front nose panel, inner and outer dogleg and left side outer sill as well as a few other minor repairs. Because he is so original, he wasn't hiding any horrible surprises and the real critical issues have now been dealt with so he's ready to hit the road again.
We have also recently given the front cabin a full makeover with new door cards, reupholstered seats and new carpets. The back camper interior is still in excellent condition for it's age with a good working rock-n-roll seat.
As for the mechanical side of things we recently spent the equivalent of over $3,000 on repairs to get the engine running, starting from the key and driving and stopping. Work includes: Replace all fuel lines with new braided fuel hose, new hose clamps and new filter. Replaced electric fuel pump with new mechanical pump. Checked and set valve clearances, replaced rocker cover gaskets. Checked cylinder compressions: 1: 135, 2: 125, 3: 140, 4: 135. Replaced spark plugs, ignition leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap, points and condenser. Fit known good battery. Set static ignition timing. Changed engine oil and filter and checked and cleaned gauze. Replaced ignition barrel, repaired accelerator pedal mechanism and replaced pedal assembly and replaced alternator.
Terrance is ready for the road and will be sold with a NSW blue slip ready for you to put on full or club rego.
